Arianna Faro's Beowulf Question #1
Thus far in the book, Beowulf has been idolized as a heroic figure renown for his bravery. In many literary works, noble characters often have one quality that leads to their self destruction. For Oedipus in Oedipus Rex, it was his hubris that led to his tragic downfall. At this point, are you able to detect any internal flaws within Beowulf?

I personally believe that Beowulf's greatest flaw is also his greatest strength. Pride. It shows to be a great advantage during his fight with Grendel, but it takes him down with his fight with the dragon.
