1. Laertes advises Ophelia not to fall for Hamlet, because Hamlet is a man who seems to Laertes to be a man that would, once he’s slept with her, leave her because she’s not good enough to be the wife of a man that is the heir to the throne.
2. He advises Laertes to basically not allow for temptation in his life and to behave properly, and don’t drink or gamble, but at the end of his speech he basically makes it all useless by advising Laertes to “be true to himself” which could definitely involve any of the several things that Polonius told him NOT to do.
3. Polonius tells Ophelia to immediately end things with Hamlet because he thinks that Hamlet’s professions of love to Ophelia are false and he is simply using her as an outlet for his passions.
4. He thinks that it soils the reputation of the person who gets drunk. He believes that one little bad thing about a person can sometimes be enough to make the most admirable man look bad.

3. Polonius tells Ophelia basically the same exact thing that Laertes tells her; do not chase Hamlet for love.
