Molly Brule's Question #1
During the time of Beowulf, he was seen as a great hero because of his courageous feats. He killed Grendel and Grendel's mother. That was seen as heroic back then, but if Beowulf was alive today, what kind of "monsters" would he have to battle? How are they similar and different the "monsters" then?

I think if Beowulf was alive today and he was going to be seen as a hero at the same level he was in the story; he'd be fighting monsters that aren't typically monsters like Grendel. He'd most likely be fighting for the economy to bring it back where it should be or bringing huge contributions or even putting an end to the war in Iraq.
